Tomas Soucek showed off the scars after taking a boot to the face while on international duty with Czech Republic.

The West Ham star scored in the 1-1 draw with Poland on Saturday.

However, he was accidentally kicked in the head by Southampton defender Jan Bednarek.

Soucek fell to the ground while challenging for the ball and Bednarek swung out a leg to make a clearance.

His boot caught the West Ham star right on the forehead, creating a huge gash that left him bloodied.

The midfielder required medical attention and had a huge bandage around his head.

He was still able to complete the match as his nation saw out a key draw in their Euro 2024 qualifier.

It meant that all they need is to avoid defeat against Moldova on Monday and their place at next summer's tournament is secure.

They will have to do that without three players, including Soucek's West Ham teammate Vladimir Coufal, who were sent home for violating team rules.

Soucek then later showed off the nasty wound that was caused by Bednarek's boot.
