Old Chicago closes its downtown Boise restaurant
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Old Chicago location in downtown Boise closed its doors Monday morning, according to CraftWorks.
As first reported by BoiseDev, CraftWorks Holdings decided to focus its attention on the rest of its restaurants and close up the downtown Boise location.
“This was purely a business decision as we continue to focus on other Old Chicago locations throughout the country. It’s never easy to close a restaurant," said Josh Kern, Chief Experience Officer at CrafWorks Holdings. "We appreciate our teams and raving fans of the brand and we certainly enjoyed operating this restaurant in downtown Boise. We continue to be optimistic about the future of Old Chicago and are pleased with recent progress made on several growth initiatives that we believe should have a meaningful impact on our business.”
CraftWorks Holdings owns over 390 restaurants and breweries in 40 states. The restaurants under the companies purview include Logan's Roadhouse, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, and a collection of restaurants-brewery brands, including Rock Bottom Restaurants & Breweries and Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants.
CraftWorks Holdings also operates a collection of specialty restaurant concepts including Chophouse, Big River Grill, AIA Ale Works, Ragtime Tavern & Seafood Grill, Seven Bridges Grill & Brewery and Sing-Sing, the concept of a dueling piano.
As of Monday, the North Milwaukee Street Old Chicago location will stay open.
