A Look into Bo Hopkins’ family life

On February 2, 1938, in Greenville, South Carolina, William Hopkins was born. He was adopted at the age of nine months by a couple and grew up with his adoptive parents. His father supposedly worked at a mill in Taylors, South Carolina, and died when he was 39 years old. Hopkins and his mother relocated to neighboring Ware Shoals to live with his grandparents and uncles when his father died. After his mother remarried, the actor was sent to live with his grandparents.

Hopkins discovered he was adopted when he was 12 years old. In Lockhart, he ultimately met his biological mother, half-sister, and half-brother. Unfortunately, the actor had various legal issues as a child and eventually opted to serve in the United States Army before his eighteenth birthday.
